We did it! Last Saturday Jason and I ran our first half marathon. I averaged 8.21 minutes per mile and Jason averaged 9.55 per mile. Yes, I kicked his heiny! Anyway, we're really glad we did it. My next goal: work up to the Maui Marathon for next summer....

Ur krazy. Joints wear out. Replacements are expensive. And they hurt.
Tai chi. Swimming. Yoga. Veggies. Yum, veggies. Could I interest you in low-impact aerobics and a side of celery?
Seriously, my skydiving and rice rocket turned out to be more wholesome than all my marathons. Er, my one marathon. Yeah, and all the stupid, pointless races before and after. Okay, okay, it's important to prove something to yourself and reach your goals. Do it. Good. Then move on to something sane like a nice daily walk, a nap, a funny movie, and cuddles all around. Less meat, flour, and sugar. Throw in a pinch of daily quiet time for reflection. And then you'll live long enough to laugh at your friends who're all getting new knees and hips. Fur realz.
Try...
P.S. Love the new masthead.
Jason, you fatty. J/K. Beth could outrun me now and she is 32 weeks pregnant.
